2019 South Africa VICTORY Educational Outreach
Here is an opportunity for gifted teachers to impact middle school to high school age children and teens in a needy area.
Arrive: February 13, 2019 / Depart: March 1, 2019
We will be returning to partner with the Monte Christo ministry. They have requested teachers with the desire to minister to middle and high school students from the local townships. To help these children advance with the hope of getting a better education and jobs, we will offer teaching assistance in small classroom settings in:
- Bible
- English through music and art
- Home economics (cooking)
- Life skills (manners/hygiene)
- Computers (special project: 2 computers to be funded or donated)
- Dance (hip hop)
- (Other classes possible)
Location: Klein Nederburg, Paarl East
Estimated number of students: 75-100
Team members will apply to Proclaim! International and will raise funds to cover tour expenses (based on double room occupancy):
- $1585 + airfare (1st time members)
- $1430 + airfare (returning members)
- Flights arriving and departing Cape Town
